David Parnell – Outstanding Contribution to Community Football Award

David Parnell has won an award from the Football Association for his Outstanding Contribution to Community Football.

David’s service to the club started as a player in the 1950s before moving into management in the 1970s. He managed his son’s junior team from under 11 to under 18 and then had multiple spells in charge of the club’s senior teams in the Coventry Alliance league. He has also been an ever present committee man including spells as General Secretary, Vice Chairman, President and Trustee from 1992. He has also been a prolific fund raiser, kit man, grounds man and passionate supporter of the teams. His enthusiasm for the football club has always been driven by his goal to help provide young people with a game of football.

He was nominated for the award by his son with the support of the club. David received the award at the Awards evening on Monday 18th July at Birmingham County FA HQ in Great Bar Birmingham.
